All practices are required to review their patient lists to ensure that they are current and up to date. This includes reviewing those patients who live outside of their practice boundary.
Patients who are outside the practice boundary may be asked to register with a practice nearer their home address so that they have easier access to the full range of services locally including home visiting. There is no requirement for a practice to register or keep patients who live outside the practice boundary.
We appreciate that this may be unsettling for patients. However, the practice does need to undertake this review to ensure that it can provide services to its local population living within its boundary.
If you need help registering with another practice, please visit www.nhs.uk/service-search/find-a-gp or email bobicb-ox.palscomplaints@nhs.net.
