Let’s Talk About Local Area Coordination Kidlington!

Cake and a Cuppa:
Day: Thursday
Date: 11th July 2024
Time: 11:30 am – 1:30 pm
Where: Exeter Hall, Kidlington, OX5 1AB

What’s Happening?

Oxfordshire County Council, Cherwell District Council and partners are gradually introducing something called Local Area Coordination in our County. This means recruiting ‘Local Area Coordinators’ for some communities. We hope Kidlington might be next, but we really need the thoughts and ideas of local people and groups to make this work!

What’s a Local Area Coordinator?

A ‘Local Area Coordinator’ is someone who works in and with the local community. They help local people, families, and groups in practical ways, no matter the reason or concern they are experiencing. This includes people already using services (like health and social care), and people who might need support in the future.

Can You Join Us?

We’re excited about this new role, but we need your help. We want to talk to groups and people to get your ideas and input, and then create a group of locals who can help shape this role. Your input will help us find the perfect Local Area Coordinator for Kidlington.

We are inviting people to join us for a cake and cuppa to chat about Local Area Coordination, what it is and how it might work here in Kidlington.
