Cervical screening

If you know you are due for your cervical screening, please book in with the surgery and a member of our patient services team would be happy to help you. Our team of lovely nurses will help you feel both relaxed and comfortable.

Cervical cancer is largely preventable, and regular screenings (smear tests) play a key role in detecting early changes before they develop into cancer.

We wanted to share this post from the NHS to help raise awareness and encourage everyone to prioritise regular screenings. Taking action early can save lives, so let’s spread the word and take steps to reduce the risk of cervical cancer.

Cervical cancer is a cancer that’s found anywhere in the cervix. It’s most common in women aged between 30 and 35, but it can happen at any age.

Alongside the HPV vaccine, cervical screening can help prevent cervical cancer by checking for high-risk HPV. So, it’s important you attend your appointment when invited.
