NHS bowel cancer screening checks if you could have bowel cancer. It’s available to everyone aged 60 to 74 years. Over 40,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with bowel cancer each year. Until 2021 only people aged 60 to 74 received testing kits every 2 years. However from 2025 people from 50 to 64 will receive testing kits. These testing kits are sent out by the national programme.
